Winter Storm Finley is bringing snow, freezing rain and strong winds to parts of the West, Midwest and Northeast through December 17. On December 16, the system is forecasted to bring snow and ice to much of the Northeast and parts of the mid-Atlantic throughout the day. As the system continues to push northeast, periods of sleet and freezing rain will begin to mix with snow early December 17 as temperatures hover near freezing in much of the area. The National Weather Service (NWS) has posted winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories from the southern Rockies Front Range into the Central Plains, mid-Mississippi Valley, Ohio Valley, Central Appalachians and parts of the Northeast. Flight delays and cancellations are possible for Boston (BOS), New York (EWR, LGA, JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), St. Louis (STL) and Washington DC (BWI, DCA, IAD) airports.
