A national transportation strike is planned in Rome on Monday, February 24. The strike will affect public transport, including buses, trains, ferries and motorways.
Air traffic controllers and a number of workers across Italy’s aviation sector have confirmed they will be pushing ahead with planned strike action on Tuesday, February 25.
Italian airline Alitalia has already announced a list of flights which have been canceled. Residual flight delays and cancellations could extend after the strike ends as airlines work to clear any passenger backlogs.
Passengers are advised to check the status of their service(s).
