As of January 23, the Chinese authorities have placed Wuhan and Huanggang, both located in Hubei Province, under lock down as a precaution to prevent the further spread of 2019 Novel Coronavirus. All public bus and railway transport will be suspended in both cities until further notice. Authorities have also mandated the closure of indoor entertainment areas and internet cafes. The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued the advice for international travelers to practice usual health precautions. The organization is also advising against the application of any travel or trade restrictions in China. Wuhan airport (WUH) has been closed by the authorities until further notice. Governments are advising travelers to exercise increased caution, and some are advising against all but essential travel to Wuhan. Increased health screening has also been introduced at airports in other countries, including Australia, Taiwan, Thailand and US in attempt to stop spread of the virus.
